Side hustles aren’t just for high-schoolers looking to make money– they are for anyone at any point within their career or life journey. Side hustles not only provide a “hobby” or an activity to do that you enjoy but also allow you to make extra cash for extra “buckets” that you don’t normally expect to save for. Many of us who have a 9-5 are looking for an activity to keep us busy after hours or on the weekend but feel as if another job is TOO much. Side hustles allow you to have maximum flexibility and can work with anyone’s busy schedule.

This week we’re covering all things side hustles- even as a busy working professional along with success stories from my podcast, The Money Exchange.

Why should I start a side hustle?

Side hustles give you an additional hobby, along with the opportunity to save different buckets. Maybe currently you aren’t saving for an emergency fund or a vacation fund. Any income you make from your side hustle can be put into this fund- without worry about tapping into your weekly paycheck from your full-time job. Some examples of where you can fund your money include.

  • Vacation Fund
  • Emergency Fund
  • Educational Fund (for you, spouse or kids)
  • Rainy Day Fund
  • Car/Home Repair Funds
  • 401K/IRA/Retirement Fund
